Doing the Wacko Warner

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

Oh you think it’s that easy?! Here’s the challenge in two parts.

Part 1.  Take This blank map template. And fill in all the countries you know.  You can either print it out and do it at your leisure (a’la Crossword Puzzle), or open it in photoshop and color code your right and wrongs.

Part 2.  Post your results online, mine’s linked in the image here. This is the “are you willing to admit you don’t know” part of the fun. I am supremely embarrassed by my results, but I figure it should at least motivate me to pay less time looking at my house on Google street view, and more time wandering the globe.

Much thanks to my Muddy-buddy for thinking up this bit of fun (Jerk).

UPDATE: Mud wanted me to post HIS map, just to rub it in my fizz-ace.  (Even though I rock his Photoshop Skills)

FlickrThose of you who aren’t constant Flickr people, might not know about Flickr’s map service. This service let’s you place your photos on a global map and set locations to your photos. I’ve been doing this since I first started Flickr, and all of my photos are “Geotagged”. Here’s a couple of interesting things I’ve found about geotagging (more…)

On this day Elvino decided to open up to us. He would reveal one of his childhood hangouts. Here is a place where he would run around in the buff and tease the other kids on their Johnsons. Except the kids named Johnson, these received a far worse verbal assault. (more…)

This particular trip was a classic beach and burritos trip. New people had joined us for this trip and some older people were no longer coming along. We ran into a couple of legal problems and found a bootleg Mexican food place that seemed to not be able to afford many letters on their sign. (more…)

Me n’ Mocherz are pretty into the future. We both like Terminator and have more wires than Johnny 5 when he got his back busted open. We enjoy showing each other S-video cables with earphone jacks on the other side. So, when I saw a billboard explaining that the future was coming to Los Angeles squished into the LA Convention Center, I knew we couldn’t miss our chance. (more…)
