Simulation and Garfield

I’ve always liked Garfield. From the age of 10 I got it. Garfield is lazy and doesn’t care. Yet following this digg link, I’ve fallen into a whole world of variations and oddities from this classic strip.

The digg link itself goes to Garfield Minus Garfield. A strip with Garfield photoshopped out leaving ‘Jon’ talking to himself in a lonely house. Quite existential.

Then I followed another link to Realfield where Garfield is replaced with a more realistic cat. Hillarity ensues.

Then there is the whole “Death of Garfield” series that Jim Davis drew for a Halloween years ago.

Finally, theres this absolutely disturbing video, which was a perfect end to this waste of an hour.
